CAPA - Computer Aided Performance Analysis

Objectives

CAPA Performance computer software program is an "Expert System" which provides ship operators with a valuable tool for achieving maximum operating efficiency with minimum downtime and minimum maintenance and repair costs.

Features

Calculation of engine performance with reference to standard ambient conditions *
Visual presentation of performance trends, cylinder balance(load share), and the reference model
Expert system analysis of engine's actual condition together with recommendations and early guidance for adjustments and repair in the event of deviations from reference conditions
Automatic generation of a full report on engine condition based on the actual observations

*Note: In order to prepare the CAPA Performance Data disk, the following observations are required on the engine in question; Engine speed, Engine power, Mean indicated pressure, Compression pressure, Fuel pump index, VIT index, and many others.
